| VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR ALL OF OUR SHOWS |
There are so many positions to be filled when thousands of visitors to a Show arrive expecting a smooth
operation. The success of all of our events depends largely on our volunteer's shoulders.
Before a Show even opens, we need help SETTING UP TABLES AND CHAIRS. As soon as our visitors enter the
building, our HAND STAMPERS and TICKET TAKERS welcome them. We also will need someone to HAND OUT
FREE SAMPLES at our Main Entrance. Then, we need people to sit on a chair as DOOR WATCHERS at areas
where we do not have an admission clerk available. Once the Show is well underway, from time to time we will
need HOSTS and HOSTESSES to visit our vendors to see if there is anything they might need. When we have a
free game at an event, we need GAME COORDINATORS, and lots of them. And then there are our MASCOTS who
wonder around the Show meeting kids in either a Dora the Explorer or SpongeBob SquarePants costume.
Finally, something unexpected always comes up at the last minute, and our volunteers always step up to take
over someone else's job.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
STUDENTS who need volunteer hours are always welcome. It's fun work, and if required we always supply a
great reference letter provided the work assigned is done to our satisfaction.
A SERVICE CLUB will often take over many of these rolls in exchange for a booth at the Show, that will let the
community know of all the good they do locally throughout the year.
RETIREES and other MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC who like to help out and are just looking for something new and
interesting to do on a weekend.
